Wes Phillips will join his father Wade on the Los Angeles Rams’ coaching staff, the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday, citing a person with knowledge of the move.

The team had not announced the move as of Wednesday afternoon.

Wes Phillips spent the past five seasons as tight ends coach for the Washington Redskins. He worked under McVay, who was the Redskins’ offensive coordinator, before McVay took the Rams’ head coaching job for the 2017 season and hired Wade Phillips. Wes Phillips also has worked on the Dallas Cowboys’ staff.
