Dice dispute leaves 2 injured in Beaumont

A melee over a dice game left two people injured in Beaumont early Sunday.
Police said they responded to a 12:37 a.m. call at 810 S. Major Drive where a shooting victim was found in the parking lot. He’d been shot multiple times; his assailant fled in a white Dodge Charger, he said.
Police received a second call about a shooting and responded to the 8200 block of Lawrence Drive. There, a victim was identified driving a white Dodge Charger and had returned to his residence, police were told.
Police said they interviewed numerous witnesses who said the shooting centered on a dispute related to a game of dice. At least two guns were used.
One victim was treated at a local hospital and released, police said. The second victim was admitted to the hospital but his injuries were not life-threatening.
