Police on scene of body in canal

Port Arthur Police, fire department and sheriff’s deputies are on scene of the recovery of a body in the water near the Port of Port Arthur.

The call came in at 9:33 a.m. Wednesday and by the time first responders arrived the body had shifted in the water and is now in a position where it will take time to recover, PAPD Deputy Chief Martin “Bubba” Blitch said.
