Frank files for reelection to PAISD board

The Rev. Donald Frank Sr. has filed for reelection to the Port Arthur Independent School District board of trustees.

Last week Frank and fellow trustee Robert Reid announced their intent to seek another term with Reid filing the paperwork first.

Reid has been on the board since 2013 and Frank got back on the board in 2016 and has served before.

Terms last three years.

Candidates must file for a seat on the board of trustees by 5 p.m. Feb. 15; the election will be held May 4.

Incumbents file for reelection to SPISD

SABINE PASS — Two incumbents with Sabine Pass Independent School District board of trustees have filed for reelection to the two available seats.

The incumbents include Ethan Blood and Maureen Plauche.

The seats have three-year terms and are at-large.

Applications for the 2019 school board election can be picked up at the business office. The deadline to file is Feb. 15. For more information, contact Mrs. Blanton at 971-2321.
