Beaumont police were hunting four suspects from an early Thursday morning burglary at AT&T on Dowlen Road.
In an issued statement, police said seven men in two vehicles were breaking into the building, when a witness called around 4:18 a.m.
Police sighted the vehicles at Park North Drive and Eastex Freeway. The suspects in both vehicles fled north toward Hardin County, where one vehicle became disabled after suspects ran into the median in the 1500 block of Highway 69 in Lumberton. Suspects fled on foot and reports said they attempted to steal a vehicle near Highway 69 and Pecan Road. Police said there were four suspects on foot, described only as black males with muddy clothing.
The second suspect vehicle led police on a chase through Kountze, Sour Lake, Jefferson County and into Orange County. There they disabled the vehicle and three suspects — two adults and a juvenile — were captured.
Multiple police departments have been involved into chasing both vehicles, which were believed to be stolen from Harris County, and the suspects.
