sSue A. Vicars Peters, 79, of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Magnolia Manor in Groves.

Sue was born December 24, 1938 in Hiltons (Mase Springs), Virginia to Crockett Vicars and Ruby Moody Vicars.

Sue was a lifelong area resident and a member of First Baptist Church of Port Arthur. She was a homemaker and Avon representative for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael R. Peters; and brother, Benny W. Vicars.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde E. Peters of Groves; sons, Edsel C. Peters and wife Lynn of San Antonio, and Ernie P. Peters and wife Patricia of Port Neches; brother, Willis Vicars and wife Judy of Kingsport, TN; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Peters, Jason Peters, Kelly Peters, Skyler Peters, Clara Peters, Elliot Peters, and Katie Sue Peters; six step-grandchildren, Steven Kuckleman, Kristin Savage, Paul Garcia, Erica Arabie, Danielle Hope, and Ashley Demoss; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Bustos and Scarlet Eakin; and aunt, Eva Vicars.

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 12 noon on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Dan Wooten, pastor of First Baptist Church of Port Arthur officiating. Burial will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
