All federal offices, including the U.S. Postal Service, are closed Wednesday for an official day of mourning for former president George H.W. Bush; thus, there may be no same-day delivery of The Port Arthur News to subscribers via the mail. President Trump proclaimed the day of mourning.
Some individual post office may have the option to remain open.
Single copies of the Wednesday edition will be delivered as normal to racks and stores, and the E-edition will be available to everyone online by 6 a.m. so they can have this important news coverage.
The Wednesday print edition of The Port Arthur News will be delivered to subscribers with the Thursday edition. We apologize for the inconvenience of delayed delivery, and appreciate the understanding of our subscribers on this national day of mourning.
