A man is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds after the vehicle he was riding in was shot at Wednesday night.

Port Arthur Police were called to St. Mary Hospital at about 10:50 p.m. in reference to a shooting victim. They learned the victim was riding in a vehicle in the parking lot of 2539 Jefferson Drive when the incident occurred.

The area on Jefferson Drive is home to Fisco Convenience Store, Little Caesars Pizza and other businesses.

The victim, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the lower extremities, is currently in stable condition, according to information from PAPD.
