Grandson indicted; accused of beating elderly woman

An arrest affidavit said Ashton Vosburgh, 36, was accused Oct. 23 of beating the woman, 83, at her home on Dallas Street. She told investigators her grandson was angry and accused her of telling others that he had stolen from her.

The woman’s caregiver said the victim told her that her grandson punched her twice in the head; one blow knocked her false bottom teeth out of her mouth.
Vosburgh was held in the Jefferson County Correctional Center on Thursday on a bond of $50,000 on the charge of injury, elderly person, family violence.
