FOOTBALL: Jasper ends H-F’s season

Hamshire-Fannett improved its win total from 2017 by three games, but found itself on a slide going into Friday’s 4A Division II playoff against unbeaten Jasper in Lumberton.

Despite Marcus Morris’ and Keshawn Morris’ 100-plus-yard games, the Bulldogs rolled to a 49-14 win, ending the Longhorns’ campaign on a four-game skid at 5-6.

Marcus Morris ran 26 times for 108 yards and a touchdown, and completed 6 of 19 for 90 yards and a TD to Keshawn Morris. The latter ran 20 times for 105 yards.

Garrett Picou had four catches for 47 yards.

Blaine Waggoner, who rushed for 12 yards, was the leading tackler on defense.
