Police in Port Arthur have released video and still photos taken from the armed robbery of 3 Diamonds Game Room in hopes the public can help identify the suspects.
The video shows three men — one in light colored sweat pants and shirt with a bright blue bandana over his face and matching shoes, a man wearing blue pants and gray hoodie ad a third man is seen wearing dark clothing and a dark backpack.
The men enter the game room, 2248 Memorial Blvd., around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday armed with guns and demanded money. After taking cash and other property, they left running east on 22nd Street and were not located by police.
The city adopted an ordinance in 2015 regarding game rooms requiring the owner to obtain a permit and place the permit near the main entrance to the gaming site, have a sign stating that the business is a gaming site and shall only operate from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., among other requirements. Since the ordinance went into effect the city has gone from 102 gaming sites to 48 gaming sites, according to a police spokesperson.
Persons with information about this crime can call PAPD at 983-8600 or Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas at 409-833-TIPS. You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
