Arthur Laux, 91, of Port Neches, Texas died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at his residence.

Arthur was born August 23, 1927 in Honduras on a fruit farm.  His father managed the fruit farm for a large company.  He lived and worked on the farm until his early twenties.  When he was twenty-two he moved to New Orleans, Louisiana and went to work for the railroad, servicing and repairing steam engines.  Later, he worked for a large shipping company and continued to sail on big ships traveling to many countries.  It was his life until retirement.

Cremation services are under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
