Fans can purchase the tickets by logging on to www.LamarCardinals.com or by going to the LU Ticket Office located in the Montagne Center located on the LU campus. The offer expires Friday at 7 p.m. Saturday’s game will kick off at 3 p.m. from Provost Umphrey Stadium.

The hottest team in the Southland, the Cardinals have jumped from a tie for 10th place in the league standings all the way into a four-way tie fourth over the course of the past four weeks. The Red and White are just a game back of the league leaders – Nicholls, Incarnate Word and McNeese State.

The Cardinals are coming off one of the biggest wins in program history with their 38-24 decision at No. 19 Central Arkansas. It was the program’s first victory over UCA in program history, and the first time LU’s has defeated back-to-back ranked teams in the same season since the return of the program. It also locked up a four-game win streak for the Cardinals, which is the longest streak since 1979. The Cardinals have already won as many games this season – both overall and Southland – as it has in the previous two years combined.

The Cardinals go in search of win No. 5 in its current streak when it steps on the field to face Houston Baptist, and its high-powered offense. The Huskies enter the game with a 1-8 overall record and still looking for their first win in Southland play (0-7).

Saturday’s contest won’t be easy as the Huskies come to Beaumont with revenge on their mind. Last season, HBU jumped out to a 16-0 first half lead before the Cardinals rallied in the second half. Big Red outscored HBU 23-0 in the final 30 minutes for the win.
