An elderly Beaumont man was killed early Thursday while crossing the street near 11^th Street and Broadway.

Beaumont police said the auto-pedestrian collision occurred at 6:53 a.m. and involved a southbound white Hyundai SUV. Police said that vehicle was moving to the center lane on 11^th Street to make a left turn onto Broadway. Police said Donald Olivier, 72, was crossing the street when he was struck.

Beaumont EMS transported the Olivier to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The investigation was continuing, police said.
