A woman is behind bars for striking another woman with a car during a disturbance late Tuesday.

Port Arthur Police were called out just before 11:30 p.m. to the 1900 block of New Orleans Avenue.

Police said that during the disturbance a 30-year-old woman identified as Ausha McKayla Bonton struck a 20-year-old woman with a car.

The victim sustained visible injuries and was later transported to St. Mary Hospital for treatment.

The suspect was arrested for aggravated assault.
