Port Arthur police Saturday morning were investigating an armed robbery that occurred at closing time Friday at Discount Smoke, 6701 West Port Arthur Road.

In an issued statement, police said two suspects — they were described only as black males — confronted an employee shortly after 10 p.m. Police said the armed men demanded money and did not harm the employee after he complied.

The suspects fled with an unknown amount of cash and were not located by Saturday morning.

Port Arthur Police Criminal Investigation Division was investigating.
