Wayne Anthony Johnson, 71, of Gardena, California, passed away on October 8, 2018, of natural causes.  Wayne A. Johnson was born in Port Arthur, Texas on November 18, 1946. Wayne graduated from Lincoln High School in Port Arthur, Texas and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University, Los Angeles. He also earned a Master’s Degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

Wayne A. Johnson is survived by sisters Anna Marie Taylor, Janis Nickolas, Deborah Armstrong, and brothers Craig D. Johnson, Brian P. Johnson, and Apollo Ubani. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins of the Armstrong family, the Taylor family, the Turpeau family, both the Johnson families, the Wilson’s, The family of Jim and Rita Howard, The family of Hazel Lopez, and many others.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Procter Street, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be Monday, October 22, 2018 at Houston National Cemetery.
