Lanice  Jean (Chatagnier) Tatar, of Groves, Texas, born on June 8, 1946 in Port Arthur, Texas, to the late Roberta Mae(Staggs) Eldridge and the late Harold Joseph Chatagnier, passed away at age 72 on September 21, 2018 in Houston, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father R.L. “Gabby” Eldridge, her twin brother Larry, her brothers Scott, Barry, Stacey and Harlan Dale Chatagnier.

She is survived by her former spouse Richard A Tatar of Groton, CT; her children Michele (Shawn) Allen of Fort Worth, Kimberly (Brett) Lewis of Spring, Richard S (Lori) Tatar of Vidor and Bekky (Rick) Kinsey of Houston; her grandchildren Rick and Dustin Tatar, Brittlynn and Bryce Lewis, Megan Allen, Abby and Jack Kinsey, her beloved sister Darvis Eldridge of Sabine Pass, her brother Tracey Chatagnier of Dallas and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life gathering will take place on Saturday September 29, 2018 from 1pm to 3pm at the R.L. “Gabby” Eldridge Community Center located at 5262 Hwy 87 in Sabine Pass, TX 77655.

The family requests that donations in Lanice’s memory be made in lieu of flowers. Memorial donations can be made to Mountbatten House 213 Maple St Highlands TX 77562 or to the American Diabetes Association.
