Wreck injures three, 2 pedestrians included

Port Arthur police responded Sunday afternoon to a wreck at 9000 Highway 87 in which a passenger in one vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries and two pedestrians were also badly injured.
Police said they received a call about an eastbound car that hydroplaned around 1:30 p.m. and struck a vehicle next to the roadway, then struck the pedestrians standing nearby.
All of the victims were taken to St. Elizabeth’s in Beaumont.
The roadway was closed temporarily, then reopened by 6 p.m.
