June Alice Edmonds, 89, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Senior Rehab in Port Arthur, Texas.
June was born July 2, 1929 in Port Arthur, Texas to Whitney Landry and Louise Thomasie Landry. She was a longtime area resident and resided for many years in Bridge City. She attended St. Henry Catholic Church where she was a lector and sang in the choir. At present she is a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches and was a longtime member of the Legion of Mary.
June was a retired teacher, having taught at Little Flower of Jesus and Immaculate Conception Catholic Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 plus year, William E. Edmonds; son, William “Billy” E. Edmonds, Jr.; and sister, Diane Boullion.
Survivors include her four nieces, Julie Jezek and husband Jason of Houston, Amy Flanigan and husband Scottie of Austin, Leslie Smith and husband Eric of Groves, Carrie Stephenson and husband Brad of Nashville; daughter-in-law, Patsy Edmonds; brother-in-law, Walter Boullion; grandchildren, Matthew Edmonds and wife Lori, Meredith Brawner and husband Jonathan; seven great-grandchildren; great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicholas and Ryan Smith, Aaron and Olivia Stephenson; other close family members and caregivers, Lisa Lege and husband Craig, Debra Sangster and husband Robert, Laura Mullins and husband Ricky, Dana Bartkowiak and husband Bart, Helen Reeves, Cindi Durham and families.
A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., with a 5:00 p.m. Rosary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 10, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches, with Reverend Shiju officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
