Violence breaks out in Beaumont, victims uncooperative

Beaumont police late Wednesday responded to a handful of violent incidents — in all cases, the victim was uncooperative with the investigation.
- At 7:23 p.m., a Beaumont police officer patrolling near Avenue F and Roberts located a victim suffering from stab wounds. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had an altercation with someone in the 1900 block of Roberts, which escalated into a aggravated assault. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Beaumont EMS with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing; however, the victim was uncooperative with police.
- At 8:00 p.m., Beaumont police responded to San Jacinto and Cartwright Avenue, answering a call about a shooting. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Beaumont EMS with non-life threatening injuries. Detectives arrived on scene to investigate but the victim and witness were both uncooperative with the investigation.
- At 11:01 p.m., Beaumont police responded to 3710 E. Lucas, where shots had been fired. While en route, several callers stated that someone had been shot. Officers found the victim in the 3600 block of East Lucas, suffering from a gunshot wound. Preliminary Investigation revealed the victim and suspects were involved in an altercation at 3710 E. Lucas that escalated into an aggravated assault. The suspects fled the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is on going, however the victim has been uncooperative with police.
