Bert Eugene Rogers, Sr., 83, of Nederland, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018. He was born on November 29, 1934, in Beaumont, to Marie and A.C. Rogers, Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Gray Rogers, Nederland’s avid photographer; children, Bert Rogers, Jr. of Beaumont; Becky and her spouse, B.J., of Huto; and Derron Rogers of Nederland; grandchildren, Doug, Laci, and Max Rogers; great-grandson, Elijah Rogers; A.C. Rogers, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of San Antonio; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Judy Gray of Nederland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Rogers’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3515 Helena Avenue, Nederland. Cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Rogers’ memory to Wesley United Methodist Church, 3515 Helena Avenue, Nederland, Texas 77627, or a charity of one’s choice.
