William “Jake” Lee Jacobs

William “Jake” Lee Jacobs, 68, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Friday, August 10, 2018.  He was born August 23, 1949 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late, Willie Jacobs and Myrtle “Inez” Gann.

Jake worked 12 years with Huntsman Refinery as a machinist.

He loved his two dogs, Hatcher and Dutchess which followed him everywhere. He especially enjoyed taking them to Port Neches Park. His toys were his Harley Davidson motorcycle and his classic cars (55 Chevy Belair and 67 Camaro). His retreat place was the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Jacobs of Port Neches; daughters, Felicia Koerth and husband, Clay of Beaumont, Sabrina Cole and husband, John of Port Neches and Sierra Hudgins of Port Neches; brother, Glynn Jacobs of Port Neches; sister Wanda Walton of Rockwall, Texas; grandchildren, Laiklen Jacobs and Kaiden Cole; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous close friends.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A graveside service will be held at West Hamilton Cemetery in Shelby County at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.
