BASEBALL: LSU to exhibit largest video board in college game
A new video board to debut at LSU’S Alex Box Stadium will be the largest in college baseball, according to a school release.
The board is to measure 71.4 feet wide by 37.8 feet high for a total of 2,698 square feet.
LSU senior associate athletic director Robert Munson said the board will not have static advertising, allowing for it to focus on baseball. The board, he added, will include in-game statistics for batters, detailed pitch stats and “function like a real-time box score.”
The Tiger Athletic Foundation is funding the project, in addition to an expansion of a baseball hitting facility that will add 4,300 square feet of space including 3,500-square foot weight training facility.
