Michael Andrew Sampson was born February 28, 1950 in Mansura, LA. He attended school in Texas and is a 1970 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. He retired from Texaco Refinery and again from Sampson Janitorial Services. He was a devoted family man and friend.

He is preceded in death by his father Arthur Sampson, Sr. and mother Eleanor Trent and step father Vernell Trent.

His survivors include: sister Adeline Sampson; brothers Arthur Sampson, Jr. (Mary), Allen Sampson (Enola), and Relius Trent all of Port Arthur.  He has a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great, great nephew.  He is also survived by a host of aunts and uncles of Missouri, California and Louisiana.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
