Florine Eleanor Green, 92, of Nederland, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Golden Years Assisted Living in Orange, Texas.

Florine was born December 7, 1925 in Makoti, North Dakota to Oscar Johnson and Beatrice Jacobson Johnson.  She was a resident of Nederland, Texas for 28 years and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland.

She attended Augustana Lutheran College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and received a Nursing Degree from Sioux Valley Hospital School of Nursing in September of 1947.

Florine was a member of the Franconian Chapter # 14 Order of the Eastern Star, Golden Triangle Quilt Guild, Embroidery Guild of America, Retired Officers Wives’ Club, and various garden and needle point clubs in the many places she lived.

A private graveside service will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home Port Neches.

Florine was preceded in death by her son, Michael Bruce Green and her husband, Gerald Roy Green.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Marilyn Sanders and her husband Dr. Lawrence Sanders of Port Neches, Texas; brother, Owen Johnson of Corona, California; two grandchildren, Christopher Michael Sanders and Julia Anne Vincent; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Jane Vincent.
