Mr. Albert Louis Harris of Port Arthur, TX (affectionately known as Bubba & Al), passed away on Wednesday, July 25th at Harbor Hospice House.  He was a life-long resident of Port Arthur and was retired from Chevron.  Mr. Harris was a member of the Thomas Boulevard Church of Christ where he served faithfully until his health failed.  He graduated from Lincoln High School, class of 1962. Mr. Harris also served in the United States Army.

Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley, Sr. & Gertrude Harris, his infant son, Albert Louis Harris, Jr., his oldest sister, Beula Benjamin, and his oldest brother, Loston Harris.  He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife, Florence Wiggins-Harris and her two children, Corey and Destiny Wiggins of Austin Texas; Daughter, Carmelita Harris-Daniels (John) of Port Arthur; Son, Chad Albert Harris (Phyllis) of Stone Mountain, Georgia; Son, Davy Lee Cole (Trana) of Port Arthur; Donovan Harris (Charnele) of Houston, TX; one brother, Wesley Harris (Lorraine) of Port Arthur; one sister, Lee Etta Daniels of Port Arthur;  one special sister-in-law, Mint Harris of Fairfax, VA; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and community.

A visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, August 4th at Church of Christ, 2948 Thomas Blvd, Port Arthur, TX.  The Home Going Celebration is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. immediately after Visitation at the same location.  Brother Jerry Taylor of Abilene, TX will officiate.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home, Port Arthur.
