Betty C. Thibodeaux a loving wife and mother, 83, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018.  Betty was born on December 21, 1934 in Morgan City, Louisiana to the late Calise Torres and Lucille Gaudet Torres.

After moving to Port Arthur in 1954, Betty became a licensed beautician.  She also worked for Texaco for five years where she made lifelong friends.  Betty was an avid reader, so her 19 years with Walden Books was her favorite place of employment.  Betty enjoyed genealogy and spent many hours researching and recording family history.  Her green thumb was a special gift, she could grow anything and everything.  Her grandsons absolutely loved her gumbo and chicken stew!   Grammy imparted the love of Cajun Cuisine to them, which will remind them of her each time they enjoy a bowl of gumbo.

Betty is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 58 years, Glenn Thibodeaux of Port Arthur; her son Kirk Thibodeaux of Port Arthur; her daughter, Amy Ellington and her husband Steve of Mansfield, Texas; along with three grandsons, Connor Ellington, Nicholas Ellington, and Lincoln Ellington of Mansfield, Texas.
