A Beaumont man was killed Tuesday, victim to a shooting incident, Beaumont police said Wednesday.

In an issued statement, police responded to a call at 1:10 p.m. to 3190 Eastex where someone had been shot. There, they found Olajuwon Vaughns, 23.

Beaumont EMS arrived on scene and pronounced Vaughns deceased, police said.

Detectives worked through the night following leads and are asking anyone with information about this shooting to call Beaumont Police at 409-832-1234 or Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS (8477).
