Two new eateries are coming to Port Arthur — one a new concept for the area and the other will be the fifth location for a popular spot.
- Hawaiian Poke Bowl — 7675 Memorial Blvd. at the site of the former Sertino’s.
Poke, pronounced “poh-kay”, is a Hawaiian dish typically made with fish.
Here’s some of what you can order:
Poke you own bowl; chose a base such as seaweed wrap, bowl or salad; choose protein, mix-ins, sauce, toppings and crunch.
There will also be ice cream rolls and bubble teas.
The new eatery will open in a about two weeks, owner Sam Lin said.
- Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp — 3400 Jimmy Johnson Blvd. near the golf course.
Joe Aref is developing the area that the eatery is headed to and congratulated the owners on the new location via Facebook.
There are locations in Beaumont, Jasper, Lumberton and Lake Charles.
Menu items, at least for the Beaumont location, include grilled boudain quesadillas, seafood gumbo, shrimp and grits, blackened shrimp nachos and more. They also have live music.
Tia Juanita’s features Mexican and Cajun-Creole seafood dishes.
