Police Chief Paul Lemoine said in an issued statement that police were dispatched to the 2500 block of 15th Street around 5:45 p.m. There a child about 21/2 years old had been playing with several other children in an above-ground pool when he went missing.
Adults pulled the child from the water and began lifesaving efforts. First-responders were on the scene working on the child when police arrived.
