NBA: Rockets sign Ennis

James Ennis III has landed a free-agency deal with the Houston Rockets.
The 6-foot-7 pro played in 220 games with 58 starts for Miami, New Orleans, Memphis and Detroit over the past four years. He began the 2017-18 season with Memphis before Detroit acquired him in February and averaged 7.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1 assist in 22.3 minutes per game for the season. Ennis shot 47.4 percent from the floor and 83.6 percent from the foul line.
Ennis reached double figures 23 times last season. His season high was 21 for Detroit against Orlando on March 2. He had a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds against Houston on Oct. 23.
