FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Landon Hiltz did what leadoff batters do — get on base, start rallies and score.

Hiltz went 3 for 3 and scored twice in leading defending Babe Ruth World Series champion Mid County to a 10-0 win over Del Rio in the 16- to 18-year-old Southwest Regional.

Hiltz drove in a run, as did Marcus Foreman. Brandon Petix and Caleb Dubois each drove in two runs, and Adam Roccaforte and Dubois each went 2 for 3. Roccaforte scored two runs.
