A man who says McDonald’s got his order wrong took his frustration out on five windows at the business to the tune of $6,500 in damages.

The incident happened around 3:09 a.m. July 4 at the business located at 4500 Twin City Highway in Groves.

Groves Police City Marshal Norman Reynolds Jr. said a blue Dodge Charger with a female and two men inside pulled up to the drive-through to pick up an order.

“Once they decided the order was wrong they began having words with the employee in the window. They were asked to pull over in the parking spot and wait until the order was corrected,” Reynolds said.

One of the men got out of the vehicle and damaged five of the windows then they drove off southbound toward Port Arthur.

Reynolds said it appears the man used a hammer or possibly a bat to damage the windows.

No one was injured in the incident and no arrests have been made.
