Arkansas-Fort Smith has hired former Lamar men’s basketball assistant Justin Bailey as its head coach.

Bailey is a Fort Smith native who played at UAFS and is a former men’s basketball assistant coach and head cross country coach there.

“I’m very excited about getting this opportunity,” Bailey said in a UAFS news release. “UAFS is home for me, and if you cut me, I bleed Lions blue. It means so much to be able to come back and coach the Lions. This community and university [are] so supportive of this program.”
