Susie H. Broussard, 101, of Port Arthur, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Groves. Susie was born November 8, 1916 in Roganville, Texas to Elizabeth (Hawthorne) and Uriah Hooks. She was a beautician for over 50 years in Port Arthur, Texas. Susie enjoyed knitting, sewing, and cooking for friends and family. She loved the beached and collecting shells for her arts and crafts.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen Broussard; brothers, Herman Hooks, Allen Hooks, Oneal Hooks , Ray Hooks, Eldridge Hooks, Parvin Hooks and sisters, Hattie Maselli and Mary Melbaline Mondello. She is survived by her sister, Fannetta Cochran of Kirbyville, Texas and by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018, with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
