GOLF: Pecan Fest tourney Oct. 13

The Groves Pecan Festival Golf Tournament will return Oct. 13 at Babe Zaharias Golf Course in Port Arthur.
The tournament features a four-person scramble format with awards for first and second place with two blind draws, prizes for closest to the pin and longest drive and door prizes. Tee time is at 8 a.m.
Proceeds will help fund the Groves Chamber of Commerce/Groves Pecan Festival operational exercises and the Groves Knights of Columbus charity fund.
Golfers are asked to register in advance, making checks to “K of C #3491-Pecan Fest Golf” and mailing to P.O. Box 726, Groves, TX 77619.
