Cherel (Sanders) Smiley, 62, of Port Arthur died Friday June 8, 2018. She was born May 12, 1956 in Port Arthur, TX and she was a 1974 graduate of Lincoln High School.

Cherel is preceded in death by her parents Lee Etta and Johnnie Sanders Sr.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Smiley; daughter, Amber Robinson; two sisters, Jane Yowman (Ken) and Crystal Thierry (Andraé); two brothers, Dwayne Sanders and Johnnie Sanders Jr. (Beverly); brother-in-law, Fredrick Granger; three aunts, Cecil Hill, Katherine Lewis, and Lana Garrett (Djuan); two uncles, Herman Elmore Sr. and Lawrence Elmore Sr. (Bernadine); special friends, Jean Ava Pollard, LaToya Johnson, and Collette Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 10::00am at First Sixth Street Baptist Church. Viewing will be from 8AM to 10AM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Service entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
