A Port Arthur shooting victim remained in stable condition Wednesday morning at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth’s in Beaumont, following an incident around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Port Arthur police said the victim sustained several gunshot wounds but would not cooperate with the police investigation.

The shooting occurred at 4020 Highway 365, the address for Avery Trace Apartments.

The suspect was unknown early Wednesday, but Port Arthur detectives were investigating the case.
