M. Lanelle Withers, 90, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away May 18, 2018 with her daughter by her side. A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Monday, June 4, 2018 at St. John Episcopal Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Withers was born June 15, 1927 in Warren, Texas. Lanelle’s passion was teaching. She was not only a teacher in the Texas Education System but a teacher in the Baptist Church as well. She taught in Warren Independent School District, Port Neches-Groves Independent School District and in Spurger Independent School District.

Lanelle was preceded in death by her parents W.L. and Viola Duff, her husband, Charles C. Withers, Jr. and infant son, William Charles Withers.

She is survived by her daughter, Grace Withers Randolph of Tulsa, grand daughter, Suzanne Stowe and husband Jonathan and great granddaughter Ella of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and granddaughter, Madelyn Tackett, husband, Victor and great grandson, Ben of Dallas, Texas.

Lanelle will be interred next to her husband in Oak Bluff Memorial Cemetery in Port Neches, Texas at a later date.
