Bertha Broussard, 91, of Port Arthur died Monday, May 14, 2018 at Oak Grove Nursing Home.  A native of Scott, LA, she was born on March 25, 1927 to the late Laura George and Joseph Syas.  She was faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church until her health failed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ignatius Broussard; two sisters, Ida Marie Williams and Gladys Jean Taylor; three nephews, Michael Taylor, Victor Taylor, Selmon Robert Owens; one niece, Janelle Noel Wilson; one great-nephew, Otis Charles Taylor, Sr.

She is survived by her niece, Annie Laura Taylor; four nephews, Gregory Taylor, Jule Taylor, Marshall Taylor and Jeffery Taylor; great-nieces, and great-nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; one god child; very devoted friends, Frances Kinchen Manus, Willie Mae Lewis, Carol and Kenneth Zeno; her care-giver, Joyce Livings (Elijah); and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
