Unofficial results for school board elections

The school board elections for trustees for Port Arthur and Nederland Independent School Districts concluded Saturday. Both districts had four candidates vying for three seats.
The official results will not be provided until canvassing, but the complete, unofficial tallies and numbers are as follow:
Port Arthur ISD
- Johnny Brown received 469 votes in both Saturday and early elections to account for 20 percent of the total votes, including mail-ins.
- Lloyd Marie Johnson received 511 votes in both Saturday and early elections to account for 22 percent of the total votes, including mail-ins.
- Brandon Bartie received 735 votes in both Saturday and early elections to account for 31 percent of the total votes, including mail-ins.
- Debra Ambroise received 637 votes in both Saturday and early elections to account for 27 percent of the total votes, including mail-ins.
Polling locations were at the following: Memorial 9th Grade Academy, Abraham Lincoln Middle School, Tyrrell Elementary School, Thomas Jefferson Middle School, Port Arthur Sub Courthouse and Sam Houston Elementary School.
Nederland ISD
- Tonya Mitchell received 729 counts in early voting and 149 in Saturday’s votes to account for 26.66 percent of the vote total.
- Micah Mosley received 865 votes in early tallies and 200 on Saturday to account for 32.34 percent.
- Roya Wood-Scott received 570 counts in early votes and 125 in Saturday’s votes to account for 21.11 percent.
- Ronald Burkhalter received 544 in early tallies and 111 on Saturday to account for 19.89 percent.
In total, in both early and day-of, approximately 3,293 people voted in Nederland ISD’s election.
Polling location was at Central Middle School.
