PREP ROUNDUP: Hranicky no-hits Livingston

Published 2:47 pm Wednesday, April 25, 2018

Josh Hranicky left his mark on the Port Neches-Groves baseball program, if only in a ceremonious manner.

Hranicky delivered a complete-game no-hit performance and struck out 14 Livingston batters Tuesday in a 9-0 victory for senior night at The Reservation. Hranicky walked just one batter.

The 5A state champion Indians (17-9-3, 11-2 in 22-5A), who sewed up the second seed in the district, brought the offense to the show as well. Austin Bost and Carson Roccaforte both went 3 for 4, with sophomore Roccaforte driving in three runs and scoring two. Senior Bost scored two runs and had an RBI.

Kristian Curtis, Cameron Stansbury (RBI), Brandon Petix (two RBI), Hunter Curtis and Hranicky each had a hit as well.

PNG will conclude its regular season Friday at Livingston.
