Ornia D. Manus (“Toad”, “Pop”)

Ornia D. Manus, 82, of Port Arthur passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Mid Jefferson Hospital with his wife by his side. A native of Jena, LA, he was a longtime resident of Beaumont/Port Arthur, TX. Ornia was a 1956 graduate of Charlton Pollard High School in Beaumont, TX and retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company with 30 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Kinchen Manus of Port Arthur, TX; Jeanette Donaldson and Ursula Luse (Bill) of Farmington Hills, MI (cousins whom were reared as sisters and brother); two step-brothers, Henry L. Mishaw (Pritta) of San Diego, CA and Melvin L. Mishaw of Beaumont, TX; two step-sisters, Patsy R. Robinson of North Highlands, CA and Mary E. Smith of Beaumont, TX; brother-in-law, David Kinchen (Betty) of San Antonio, TX; godson, Lance Kevin Kinchen (Lorraine) of Franklin, LA; special niece, Rose Simpy (Douglas) of Abbeville, LA; special nephews, Frank Landry of Beaumont, TX, Brian Kinchen of Santee, CA and Troy Kinchen of Lafayette, LA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Minister Rose Simpy will officiate. Entombment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
