Crash investigations

may require detours

The Texas Department of Public Safety will reconstruct two accident scenes Thursday morning, creating the need for motorists to take alternate routes:

  • One westbound lane of traffic of Interstate 10 at the Purple Heart Bridge over the Neches River will close from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Westbound motorists from Orange should take Highway 87 south to Highway 73 in Bridge City back to I-10 in Winnie.

  • In the second investigation, one westbound lane of I-10 traffic near the exit to Highway 365 will close from 12:30-2:30. Motorists traveling west on I-10 from Beaumont should use U.S. 90 in Beaumont (College Street) toward Houston.
