2019 Bassmaster Classic will be held in Tennessee

B.A.S.S announced Wednesday that the 2019 Bassmaster Classic will be held on the Tennessee River in Knoxville.

The “Super Bowl of Bass Fishing” is scheduled for March 15-17 in downtown Knoxville and the University of Tennessee. B.A.S.S. CEO Bruce Akin cites that 10 of the 109 Bassmaster Elite Series pros are from Tennessee, many of whom live in the eastern portion of the state, where Knoxville sits.

Jordan Lee of Grant, Alabama, won the 2018 Classic, held last month on Lake Hartwell in Greenville, South Carolina.

The Bassmaster Elite Series, the highest competition tour sanctioned by B.A.S.S., will hold a tournament in Orange, June 7-10.
