Beaumont police Sunday were investigating a shooting in the 1800 block of Hebert.

Police said in an issued statement that the victim, whose injuries were described as not life threatening, said he was dropping someone off at the address around 10:26 p.m. Saturday when an unknown suspect opened fire on him.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated.

The investigation continued Sunday police said, and asked that anyone with information call Beaumont police at 409-832-1234 and Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS.
