A Beaumont resident died Sunday after a home fire.

The Beaumont Fire Department received a call for a house fire in the 1700 block of Herring Aly in the city’s south end.

When fire crews arrived flames were coming from one of the windows.

Fire crews located a lone victim and pulled the victim — no other information was available — from the structure.

Beaumont EMS and fire staff treated the victim, who was transported to St. Elizabeth. There, the victim died.

The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental, authorities said.
