Port Arthur man arrested for 2017 Club Rumba murder

A Port Arthur man was arrested for the 2017 shooting death of a Beaumont man at Club Rumba on Monday.
Damon Marques Pierce, 21, of Port Arthur, was arrested on a murder warrant by the U.S. Marshal’s and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office warrant division in Port Arthur. Bond is set at $500,000, according to information from the Beaumont Police Department.
Beaumont Police had originally responded to a call of a disturbance at Club Rumba, 3684 College St. where witnesses told officers that a fight broke out inside the club and continued in the parking lot. Multiple people retrieved firearms and began shooting at each other; five people suffered gunshot wounds and one person, Ronald Livings, 27, was killed.
