Three men were arrested following a robbery that left two men with gunshot wounds late Sunday night.

Police were originally called to a shooting at Arthur Square Apartments, 1548 Main Ave., at 9:44 p.m.

While there they found two men had been shot, one in the leg and the other in the hand, according to a press release from the Port Arthur Police Department.

Officers learned the shooting happened during a robbery and one of the victims was robbed of an undetermined amount of money.

“Officers took all of the information and through the diligence of our patrol officers on duty, located three suspects and placed them under arrest,” Lt. Martin Blitch said, adding that the patrolmen did a “fantastic” job.

The suspects were charged with aggravated robbery.

The criminal investigation unit is currently working this case.
